What's going on?

Feedback Type:  Troubleshooting Report

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

(By the way, I just tried to submit this review, and I got a VersionTracker error: We were unable to find the page that you requested. Now I have to retype my comments!)

I am usually hesistant to post "It doesn't work" when it come to P2P software, but I cannot download this one file that, according to one of "those" sites, has 260 seeders and 80+ other users. Instead, I keep getting this error:

Problem connecting to tracker - <urlopen error unknown url type: udp>

I tried deleting my preferences, enabling queueing, and even reverting back to version 4.0.2. Nothing. ALL ZEROES. I used to be able to get a file when there were only 2 or 3 seeds when using various versions of the program. Now, it just seems to keep braking down, and, now, it's broken. I, also, did the debug Python Console. Nothing. How come (many) others are able to download and I'm not?

Screw this. I'm switching to Azureus - kronswirl

Still, 100s of seeds, no go with BitTorrent. Azureus: connected in seconds, as expected originally with such common files.

What's going on? - Roberto13

There are two kinds of Bittorrent tracker: HTTP and UDP. Azureus handles both kinds, this program handles only the older HTTP trackers.
