Existing users, 
I installed the httpmail plugin on my dual 2.0 G5 with 10.4.6 about a week ago, and it has worked flawless since then. No problems whatsoever. I highy recommended it!
I was initially hesitant to install the plugin, since there are some bad reviews here, particularily one about lost mail, but now I'm really happy I did!

The plugin has been withdrawn due to the fact the Microsoft is discontinuing the HTTPMail protocol on September 1st 2009.
