Was told by Apple Technical Support that some issues I was having could be from LimeWire. Told that LimeWire actually will rewrite some of Mac's operating system that even Apple is unable to correct. Only solution is to Erase and Install.
So I then contacted LimeWire for help in Uninstalling. They never would answer any of my repeated e-mails.

I forgot to add that you need to drag the AppZapper Application from the Disk Image to your desktop and then follow the steps in the above post to remove LimeWire from your Mac.Saturday, May 06 2006 @ 09:03 AM PDT

... that is bullshit. First, LimeWire is just a Java application which means it runs on the top of a Virtual Machine. If anything screws up your System then it's the VM which is written by Apple! Blame Apple and not LimeWire! Second, it's in Apple's interest if you uninstall it because they assume you're using it for things that conflicts with some of their business models.Saturday, May 06 2006 @ 06:17 PM PDT

What problems were you having?I did notice a problem, that my system would not allow me to make an alias in any way, shape, or form of LimeWire itself, though I still could make aliases of anything else.

That's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. There was an issue with the LimeWire installer that would change the permissions on some of your directories, but that was corrected many versions ago. Even if you had the problem, all you had to do was run a permissions repair, or use the Get Info window to set them back. LimeWire doesn't "rewrite" your OS, for crying out loud !Tuesday, May 16 2006 @ 09:04 AM PDT

A friend of mine just heard this same spiel from a Mac Genius (!) at an Apple store less than a week ago. He had brought his iBook in for a completely unrelated hardware issue, and this fool started bagging on all the harmless applications he had installed; even had the audacity to drag items out of the dock without asking his permission. Sounds like every Genius Bar now has its own Reality Distortion FieldĀ® generator.Wednesday, May 24 2006 @ 08:58 AM PDT

Just download AppZapper from: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/28764 and download it. Just drag the LimeWire application over the AppZapper icon and let go. AppZapper will open and you will be able to Zap (Delete completely) LimeWire from your Mac.I hope this helps.
