Product Platform:

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

Does what it's supposed to do, however, I have two complaints. First, not only is the Toolbar shaded--colored icons are as well. IOW, the colors become very unsaturated and are harder to see (not to mention ugly). Second, it remains in my already-overcrowded Dock, despite control-click requests to the contrary. I'll turn it back on if adjustments are made; it really is a nice idea.

Bear in mind that the "Remove from Dock" menu item is simply tells the icon whether or not it should stay in the Dock if you quit the app. In other words, it's an alternative to dragging an icon out of the dock. It won't hide the icon of a running app. Incidentally, I agree with you that the MenuShade icon should be hidden when the app is running!

I learned about this recently with regard to Spell Catcher (which I love). It saddened me--sometimes the price of knowledge comes high. ;)
