If you want a quick peek at flat delimited files, this works pretty well. The ability to change encoding on the fly is handy. It even handled a big, ugly survey file I threw at it.
I know it's just a little utility, but an interesting direction for it to go might be increased ability to view and correct corrupt flat files, since that's usually why you want to look at a file--there are extra/missing commas, quotes, CR, etc.
Definitely worth looking at if you analyse data and need to get under the hood sometimes.
