Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

it's no photoshop replacement, not even photodelux replacement, but its okay for a basic program. it even imported a psd image file i had.

it still needs some work, a shapoed/sized pointer would be nice instead of just a crosshare pointer.

Better than, "Okay for free" - captanjk

I take issue with this (in a VERY polite way).

This is not meant to replace PhotoShop - that is for the gimp project.

What this app does it does WELL. Isn't that the point of OSS? To do its intended function well with no bloat?

I am NOT a graphics person so maybe that is why I am happy just to have something which works well and easily. However, even graphics experts must need something like this where you can do a simple edit w/o going through 10 steps.

BTW - if anyone knows of another PhotoShop replacements beside gimp please reply to my comment above and let me know.

Thanks,

Paul

Well said - Couldn't agree with you more.

For a possible PS replacement, search VT for "Acorn".

Perfectly said! Many of us just want something to change the color of a simple background image, etc....not professionally edit photos. This is a great little app for those looking for an image editor that follows the KIS principle.
