I can't believe that Apple STILL has not implemented the ability to start audio with a specific slide and end the audio a specific number of slides later. This is a standard with Powerpoint. I LOVE Keynote. So much better than powerpoint, but c'mon apple - people need the ability to control audio if they are going to give great presentations. Currently I have to play audio seperately through my ipod and it is not a smooth operation. All you can do with Keynote is to play a song all the way through when you start the show. A bit lame!

Argghhhh still no audio support - explorz12
This doesn't seem to work for a variety of reasons. Hopefully you might be able to help.First of all - the "delay" time cannot be set for more than 60 seconds. So a 3 minute song that you want to run as you click through slides isn't possible.
Second - the slides won't advance until the previous build (the dissapear of the audio) is finished building out. So, no way to advance through slides as the audio is playing.
Am I missing something here? Thanks for your effort and input.

Drop audio on a slide. I typically drop sound effects or voice-overs *on* the thing it plays simultaneously with. This makes it easy to tell what sounds happen with what parts of the slide.Set it's Build In to "appear" and "with build" of any effects you want it to be synched with
Set it's Build Out to "disappear" with a delay of the length of the audio.
You can see the length quickly from the Quicktime inspector.
Set any effects that have to come *after* the audio to the "with build" of the audio's build-out.
It works *great* this way, and you can synch individual bits of sound (voice-overs especially) to each bits of text, or what-have-you.
