I love LaunchBar too, but I'm also seeing the same problem. Version 4.1 seems to freeze on certain abbreviations. Even after removing the Configuration.plist and Habits.plist from ~/Application Support/LaunchBar/, I still see the same problem.

Never saw this issue in previous versions, including 4.1 betas.

Freezing problem - Doug-Ray

I can't speak for the developer, but I've been in contact with him today about this issue, and he seems to be working on it as we "speak."
