I love this program, so much that I bought the bluetooth scanner they offer with it. But this love doesn't blind me to the problems with the program. I tried to export my library from my desktop to my laptop (seeing as my laptop has bluetooth and my desktop does not) but the pictures (many of my items didn't have amazon pictures) were not exported also. While this may cut down on export file size, it was a huge hassle finding the icons all over again (I should have just copied over the entire library file). The stability could use some work too, as it crashed out more than once when I'd load several dozen items at once from the bluetooth scanner. This happened mainly when it couldn't find the barcode for an item on Amazon. One would think they'd allow other databases to be used for less-known products, or as a backup when an Amazon lookup fails.
Even with all that, I still rate the program as worth buying, as my problems are likely not shared by everyone. It's a touch expensive given the stability issue, but I love the organizational scheme (which isn't perfect either, but I don't expect Delicious Monster to deliver the stars as well as the sun and the moon) and the borrower feature. I'm sure the stability issue will eventually be addressed; they had good communication when I emailed them, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Besides, it's a fun program with which to wow people.

Probably should not have tried the Export. Just drag the Delicious Library folder in your desktop's Application Support folder to your laptop's matching folder and you're done.Reply to This
