Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Macwintel is here, and the best way to have it done is thru Parallels Workstation. XP runs great, but my first attempt was with Windows 98, not much luck there. It seemed to only have 8 bit colour and no audio and no access to my wifi connection. I guess they wanted to fully support the most current OS, especially in this beta stage, which makes perfect sense. This is the most practical way to run Windows on your Mac and the speed on my 17" iMac is about 10 times faster than the Dell laptop I am forced to use this week at work. FANTASTIC!

Wish list: to share folders on the iMac as drives on the VM. Drag 'n' drop file sharing between the two desktops.

Display Drivers - FSCALC

To get the proper display driver, you need to install the Parallel Tools. Run your Windows 98 VM, and then do the following:

VM > Install Parallel Tool.

I believe that the sound support and wireless support is still lacking, at least for Win98 SE, at this stage of the beta development.
