DO NOT PAY FOR THIS UNTIL HE REMOVES THE DISHONESTY!! This is actually Donationware or Freeware. The version that downloads prior to “registration” is the complete application. Purchasing a registration code provides no additional features or enhanced performance, despite his bogus claim that “Registering will enable all features and ensure you get fast downloads.”. Once you purchase a “Single User” license, you are instructed to “Simply enter the following information in Acquisition's registration preference panel,” when, in fact, there is no registration panel in which to enter a registration code. I recently filed a grievance through PayPal to extract a refund from this guy after my emails were greeted with nonresponsiveness, followed by deception, derision, dismissiveness, and threats. PayPal agreed with me and processed a refund. It’s great software, but its creator is rude and dishonest. Enjoy his software, but don’t pay for something that doesn’t exist. This application should be relabeled Donationware or Freeware.

bogus registration claims - BeeBop2
Great software. Eventually paid for it, as the nags became worse with each update. Worth the payment though. The odd crash, but no more than any Apple or Microsoft program I own. Keep up the good work.Monday, April 17 2006 @ 11:16 AM PDT

Whiner!! There is nothing dishonest about letting you try out a full version of software before paying for it.Maybe the fact you couldn't figure out how to register Acquisition tells me something about you. LOL

Where is the registration panel? I asked the developer, and he never could give me a straight answer. I don't think it existsAnd then he was rude and threatening.
Before you start name-calling ("Whiner"), try useful, factual discourse.

Not sure what this guy is on about. Yes you can use this software without paying for it if you don't mind the nag screen. However i'm minded to pay for any software that I find useful and use on a regular basis. I've never had to contact the developer in the 3 years that i've owned this product and i've found this to be the most reliable of P2P apps available on the mac. This baby just works and i've never had any issues with it. I've lost count of the amount of times this software has been updated in the last 3 years which shows the developer is committed to making this app better all the time. I've also never had to re-pay for this software once a major update is released like some developers charge.Stop *censored*in about this app & developer, in my opinion he and the app are doing wonders for the mac.
