In the 20 minutes of the trial, I was able to make 3 short non-full screen clips without stuttering, however, the color of the saved (rendered) movie was off and the supposedly black text in the movie was a rainbow pattern. Therefore, I was not able to use the final product and do not believe it is worth its price.

Hello, did you have the cursor displayed? There is a glitch in 1.53 where the cursor compositing sometimes messes up the resulting video.ETA on the next version to fix this problem is next week.
If you didn't choose to have the cursor displayed, then this is a new bug that has not come up in my testing. If so, can you provide me with your system specs+recording settings and email me a screenshot? If this isnt the case, then just forget this last part.
