I wasn't able to rip Narnia with 2.6.6. I keep getting "bad sectors" error. This is the first DVD that has given me trouble. Some new kind of copy protection? Is there a workaround, or will I have to wait for a fix in the next version?

I have the same problem with Narnia and Memoirs of a Geisha. This must be some new Technology their using. Can Mac The ripper find a way to decode this encryption?
Also, as an alternative, I use mpeg streamclip which is very useful, but same problem reading the VOB files.

Narnia - thong--2008

I've had problems with "Narnia", "Memoirs of a Geisha" and "Flight Plan". Does "Delete Vob" or "Pad Vob" button in warning window help at all?

I am an amatuer on Mac but Pro on PC but thought I might share some info that we had in common to your problems here.

The PC equilant freeware we use to copy most commercial DVD movies is DVD Drcrypter. However there are some new encryption such as ARccOS and esp movies that are by Sony. Because of that DVD Decrypter is not able to copy it and will get a read/bad sector error halfway into copying the disc.

Luckly there is another for PC freeware name DVDFab Decrypter than pretty much works on the one that DVD Decrypter can't.

As I recall of the few movies mentioned, I had the most difficulty copying Memoirs of a Geisha even with DVDFab Decrypter which I finally manage to copy it butend up with a 45 sec freeze right toward the very end and I havent try it again, yet.

I am not sure if there is other similar software for Mac that could decrypt some of the movies mentioned such as Narnia, Memoirs of a Geisha, Flight Plan.

Hopefully this info help and might be applicable to Mac so that you don't have to keep wondering if you did something wrong
