font confusion

Feedback Type:  Troubleshooting Report

Contributed by: barberfloyd Thursday, April 06 2006 @ 12:16 PM PDT

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Opera will not allow me to select Verdana as my default font. (it's the best for me with my poor eyesight) Verdana works fine in any other application I have. I couldn't find any info on this on the Opera web pages. I have Verdana installed in both my system and user font folders so Opera should be able to see it.

It's hard for me to evaluate Opera when I can't see it very well.

Any ideas anyone?

amusing - barberfloyd

That's very funny. I'll bet you also have suggestions for me because I am physically disabled and living on Social Security income.

BTW - The "vision impaired browser" does not allow the selection of Verdana as a screen font either.

You would do well to watch your comments when advising people who are not as physically perfect as you. Some day you might find yourself with limitations that you would like help with.
