Bravo Apple, but since I have yet to buy an x86 Mac, what about PowerPC Mac owners?! Throw us a bone ;-) The problem with buying Intel Macs is that they are still 32-bit, in contrast to 64-bit G5s... Granted this only affects specialized applications, but this will become very important in the near future as computing needs/features soar...

Yeah... but I believe Windows is based on the x86 architecture as is Intel and AMD. The new Mac's are Intel-based. I don't think the PowerPC is at all compatible. I may be wrong though. Anyone know if it's at all possible?

It is called Rosetta Apple, but for PowerMacs! There is simply no reason Apple couldn't work on something similar with or without Microsoft for PowerPC Macs...

AKA:
Transitive's QuickTransit® for Power™/PowerPC™ - Allows application binaries compiled for a MIPS®, x86 or mainframe processor to run on a POWER™/PowerPC™ based computer. Application binaries compiled for other processors will be supported soon. Operating system call mapping from any Unix/Linux-like operating system or any mainframe operating system to any Unix/Linux-like operating system is supported.

Hi,

No.

QuickTransit is so slow, it would drive you insane. You might as well just stick with VPC.
