Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

Recommend Product: NO

Don't even bother with this program. Once you've installed the iTunes plug-in, Quicksilver does the same thing and MUCH MUCH more, and it's free.

No, *DO* bother - Synergy is GREAT - TechMeister

Regarding "Quicksilver does the same thing and MUCH MUCH more, and it's free." Quite INcorrect.

While QuickSilver may be free, it certainly does not do "the same thing" as Synergy - it is actually missing several of the features which make Synergy as cool as it is. While QS is a great launcher, and actually does a very good job with allowing keyboard control of iTunes, Synergy provides many MANY more features.

Please read the Features list for Synergy at http://wincent.com/a/products/synergy-classic/features/, before making such flippant statements.

I used Synergy for about six months before I figured out I could do the same thing with QS for free, and without an extra program running in the background stealing my RAM.

I'm willing to admit that it has more features than QS's iTunes plugin, but there's not one single feature of Synergy WORTH dishing out $10 for. What, I'm going to pay $10 so I can see the album art when I hit "Next Song"? Or so I can customize the buttons?

It does a good job of doing what it does, but there's good FREE software out there. Unless you need every feature of this program, just use QS. Buy beer with your $10 instead.
