Is this supposed to work on a PowerMac G4?
There is no installer file, no application icon, no way to even get the software to work. Why is this listed on Versiontracker under Mac?

Developer has specified that this stuff have to be compiled, so there's no installer in the package you have downloaded, but the source code "ready" to be compiled... by someone who knows how to do it.I'm in your same situation: cannot use it since I don't know how to compile...

Works great - kfcunningham_dotmac
Hylafax works just great under MacOSX -- currently using Tiger. I've had it set up and running for two years now, more or less, and it's bulletproof. It works especially well with a couple of add-on packages, salsafax and sambafax, that let you put the fax number right on your document. Print, and away goes your fax.You can specify a number of useful options -- I have mine set to try the fax 10 times, and if it doesn't go through after that, to email me the file so I can find out what the problem. Just an example of how flexible it is.
And free -- how can you complain about that? It takes two minutes to figure out how to compile it, and probably a couple of hours total to install, set up, and test.
There is also a free client available (HylafaxSender) to submit TIFF/PDF/PS files for faxing, and numerous clients for Windows, Unix, etc. There are web-based systems you can install for monitoring the system if you wish, most free. See the hylafax website for links to these.
