First of all, there is no alternative client for Microsoft Messenger when used in conjunction with a Live Communications Server. aMSN and the like DO NOT SUPPORT THIS. I believe many of you are confusing Microsoft Messenger for Mac with MSN Messenger for Mac. MSN Messenger for Mac does not work in a corporate environment utilizing LCS. Yes, they both connect to MSN IM networks, but there is no real need for someone to use one over the other unless you are requiring LCS connections. Therefore, alternative clients for voice/video do not apply. It is for this lack of feature-parity that I have a gripe. It also is not a feasible option for many to purchase a "cheapo Windows box" due to budget constraints for many of these organizations.
What do I like about it? Well, at least I can connect to my organization's LCS and MSN at the same time. That's about it.

For those of you suggesting alternatives... - Xapplimatic
If there is confusion between the two of these, it's Microsoft's fault for making similarly named software that do similar things.... It just points out the fact that Microsoft is a very confused company with poor product developement management and equally bad judgement in product differentiation. Most PC users can't even tell you the difference between Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger. This is Microsoft's fault for creating confusing product tiers that overlap in name and/or function. It's not good for consumers and bodes poorly for their future directions as well.Reply to This
