Global Consciousness Messaging is not the Global Consciousness Project.

You can't understand what its about because they have to use complex indirect language to disguise this stupid approach to "investigating" bad philosophy as a legitimate research project. It's based on two stupid ideas that are conjoined together to create a colosal absurdity so immense that reading about it could take 5 points off your IQ - so don't say I didn't warn you. First, they start with the silly idea that there's a Global Consciousness - i.e. there is some awareness "out there" apart from each of us individually. If you thought that was stupid - wait for part 2: they then propose that it affects things, so therefore if computer generated "random" numbers show some correlation, it means that the "Global Consicousness" did it. Anyone who's ever tried to write a really good random number generator knows how stupid that idea is. More broadly, you can't prove or disprove basic philosophic ideas via an experiment. For example, what's the experiment that shows consciousness even exists?

It is absolutely inconceivable that Princeton University would spend time and money on this. But then again "It's hard out here for a pimp" won the Academy Award for best musical score this year. It's the end of the world as we know it.

I agree no one has any idea what your talking about and I am sure you have good intentions, however no one can make heads or tails out of what your saying? Please do not think of this as everyone attacking you, but if you had chosen your words more carefully we all might know where your at. Sorry!

Unix Maximus: No offence taken or offered but I was VERY clear....The gentleman whose comments appear directly above my preceding comment in this thread understood and if you read his comment you will understand fully. The developer has stated the purpose of this widget which is totally unclear. Please also read the latest comment of a user who also can't understand what the sam hill the developer is talking about. Yes it is all about clarity but if something I said is unclear to you please tell me what it is and I will address myself to your query.

AH Unix Maximus: It is YOU after all that made the latest comment....well then you share my opinion. BUT more importantly I wanted to point out that not only is the purpose of this widget unclear and confusing but Princeton University is wasting their time and efforts in developing and sponsoring this thing...I know they all laughed at Thomas Edison and Christopher Columbus but to me this idea is unreal.
