For users that experienced the missing menu bar icon, and or users experiencing crashes, try deleting the preference, then restart Meteorologist.
This worked for me. My temp icon has been missing for months, but when I deleted: file: ~/Library/Preferences/com.heat.meteo.plist
my problems were all cleaned up
