I installed the Stuffit Expander 10.02 update on Sunday, March 19 (freshly downloaded via VersionTracker), and two days later, (today) I noticed that my /var/log/system.log was full of notices about VShieldCore crashing. VShieldCore is part of Virex 7.7. I looked in the crash log (/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/VShieldCore.crash.log and found that VShieldCore was failing to find libraries that it wanted in /Library/Frameworks/StuffIt.framework/ and /Library/Frameworks/StuffItSupport.framework.

After restoring these frameworks with Retrospect (replace corresponding files), no more crashes.
