Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

A disk size of 100Mb is quite rediculous to try out the demo version. I think this is very suspicous, regardless of all the raving reviews below. Especially since a freshly made backup was displayed as having very much fragmented free space.

Try before you buy - Alastair_Houghton_882

The 100MB disk size was chosen so that you could test that the program could defragment a disk by creating a disk image using Disk Utility and filling it with whatever files you wish.

Please remember that if we had a restriction that let you defragment your hard disk, that would effectively mean that we were giving the product away for free to at least a proportion of our users; even if we impose a 30 day time limit, we'd have to reset it every few months otherwise legitimate re-evaluation wouldn't be possible.

We have thought about this a lot, so please don't fall into the obvious trap of thinking that we don't consider such things.
