This app plays the one FLV file I wanted to play, but the interface is cumbersome. A better alternative to play FLV files would be most welcome (and no 40 USD is not in the range). Perhaps VLC can pick it up?

Mplayer plays FLV files. Just open it up and drag and drop them on the playlist.
