Why should anyone want a blank sceen? All one has to do is shut the computer off if they do not want to see anything.
Your a poor salesman as you create something and do not even prove why we should want it.

Black Screen Saver - trevor7578

If you're using your iMac as a base station to other networked computers you don't want to put it to sleep. If you have that computer in a room that needs to have the screen off at a certain time of night this is very useful.
