My complaint about this program is that it requires the user to organize their ROMs the way Emulauncher wants rather allowing the user to configure Emulauncher to work with your existing layout. For example, I have all my Atari 2600 ROMs in a folder called "Atari 2600". Emulauncher couldn't deal with that. I had to move all my ROMs into a folder called "ROMS" within a folder called Atari 2600 so it could see them. That alone turned me off. Also, the program is painfully slow. It's much quicker to launch an emulator and select a ROM than loading Emulauncher. I was also diasppointed by a total lack of useful documentation.
This might be a useful program eventually but for now, forget it.

Nice idea, poor execution. - Alexis Gallisá
Requiring users to put their roms in a roms folder and their screenshots in a screenshots folder is the same requirement that MacMAME has and I have decided to keep the same setup. That being said, you can override the settings by customizing the EMUlaunch-games.xml in your preferences section. As far as slow performance, this is meant to help facilitate opening games when using your Mac on a tv and not really as a replacement for opening games with your mouse on a desktop. I think its much easier to have one place to open games from.Reply to This
