hi,
I have a serious issue with GIMP (which I LOVE) and iphoto (which I don't).
Once I modify a photo in GIMP iphoto won't import it asserting it is unreadable. But all the other mac apps don't show any problem. What's wrong?

iphoto does't like GIMP - systembug

Did you save the file as *.xcf , the gimp's native file format? iPhoto does not read this. But if you save as *.tif, *.jpg, *.png or *.bmp, you should have no problems.

I saved the files as jpg, but they were incompatible with iPhoto as long as I saved them again with Preview.

Tip from Graphic Converter - Ilgaz

It has "Use iPhoto compatible EXIF" setting. It may have something to do with how iPhoto stores EXIF data of images
