Compared to other games in the "Elite" genre, both the graphics quality and gameplay experience of Zex are decidedly inferior. Please take several good long looks at OOLite (free), the Escape Velocity series, etc.

Regarding graphics ... it's meant to be retro yet 3d. Still I guess I can understand where you are coming from.

The gameplay comment seems a bit non-specific, surely it's not all bad?
