Open Disk Utility. Create a password-protected disk image of any desired size. You are done, for free.

Just use Disk Utility - caveman420

head injuries have left me somewhat slower then before.... i did go to disk utilities, and made a dmg and put into it a password... i watched it create it, then when i opened it.... it did just open.... it did not ask me for the password... can you help me understand why>? caveman420
