Firefox extension - illumit

The firefox web developer extensions are great for testing pages while you're working on them. I often use it myself and I'm the developer of WebLight.

However, WebLight does some things that the firefox extension can't do.

  • It's very easy to forget to use page validators. WebLight scans entire sites, so it can catch markup problems that you might have missed.
  • WebLight is a standalone application so you can use it while you're offline.
  • Other people can break the links on my site and I don't have the time or patience to test every page manually on a regular basis.
