Too Difficult!

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

Never could get anything to appear. The Internet Explorer interface was very unintuitive and I could never figure out how to get anywhere on the website. Both the software and navigation made any sense. It would take less time to write it and send it snail mail, which is exactly what I'll do.

Obviously, the US government wants to keep funds away from individuals and small organizations that cannot afford the time or money to hire professionals that can decrypt this nightmarish system they have put in place.

Couldn't be much easier... - das@doit.wisc.edu

Read the instructions at:

http://apple.doit.wisc.edu/grants.gov/

Yes, it's a Windows interface, but it's clearly documented.

If you're talking about the grant submission process being too difficult in general, that's a different issue. But, if anything, Grants.gov acting as the single clearinghouse for ALL federal grant monies is making things easier, more consistent, and more streamlined than they were before. Get started with Grants.gov at:

Great application - readyones

This is a very helpful download for the people that realize there's nothing we can do but suck it up and learn how to use the work-around provided. It is frustrating the government developed this system without realizing how many Mac users apply for federal funding. I hope they come up with a better solution soon.
