Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

Recommend Product: NO

I used to own this and have been waiting for about 15 years to have a Hypercard like program again that would work well and feel solid. Well I am still waiting after buying every card program since 1987!

Spend some time guys and do a proper beta. This includes rewriting the sample apps that you include with the program. They are simply terrible.

I would like to comment on this version but the installer fails. It has little error correction for its downloads and the files are some weird type. Just divide the code, zip it and allow people to download it in pieces. This is a great idea for people like me on dial-up.

I have tried to download the files for the past few days and nights and it always errors half way through part 3 of 10. Sometimes it starts over at file 3, but often it just starts all over from file 1. This is bullsh*t. I have no trouble downloading any other files, why is this such a problem?

I really recommend you try and get a good solid Mac product rather than trying to be all things to all people and failing to make the mark with any.

I agree, Revolution still is not ready for prime time. I have no confidence in it. I would like to use it but I can't. It is too bad

Still waiting..were is Appware when you need it.

Chris

Indeed, indeed, what CAN replace HyperCard? I, too, have been searching for many years for as good a product, but it just isn't there, I'm afraid. I'm stuck with SuperCard now, which does the job, but lacks the elegance of HC.

I built some complex applications in HC, both for my own use and a couple for commercial use. Revolution blows HC into the weeds in every respect other than useability for pure novices, and even that is only because HC is comparatively so trivial. If you think otherwise, there is something deeply conservative about your approach or you have some other agenda.
