Hello,
Since I installed MPlayer OS X b8r5, I've lost sound in every other applications. Entourage doesn't say bip anymore when scanning my mailboxes, Safari does not play sound when displaying multimedia stuff. On iTune is working.
My OS: Tiger 10.4.5 on a PowerBook G4 15' last model with the 1440x960 display.
If somebody have an idea or can help...
Thanks a lot.

Sound problem since I installed MPlayer OS X - Christian Gras
Thanks a lot for your help, but unfortunately, it didn't work. So, I'm afraid that I will have to reinstall the whole system, unless somebody else has a solution!

I just find the solution thank to MPlayer forum:http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1405114&forum_id=468039
I talk about an article at Apple:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300832
It says that you must launch "<i>Configuration audio et MIDI</i>" then change the frequency in the "<i>Audio Out</i>" box. It should never be higher than 44'100 KHz

Sound problem since I installed MPlayer OS X - ajbusa
I had a similar problem...it messed up my quicktime player pretty bad. I'm also on 10.4.5 - using QT 7.0.4. Audio would not play, and after about 10sec video would freeze. I ran the Quicktime 7.0.1 ReInstaller (which removes 7.0.4), but had no luck. Finally, I threw Mplayer away along with the file "org.mplayerosx.MplayerOSX.plist" located in Library/Preferences. This did NOT fix the problem, but after downloading and installing Mplayer again - Quicktime seems happy (and Entourage has happy bips, etc.).Hope this helps.
