Although not "perfect," this is one piece of software that regularly does some very heavy lifting for me, on numerous tasks. It never ceases to amaze me that people complain about it's complexity and "bloat." Excel really is a programming environment of sorts, and it has to be complex in order to accomplish the myriad tasks users need to accomplish.

Bugs? Yes, but not so frequent that they have bitten me often. I always double check my formulas manually, and confirm that the output I see is what I expect, when I'm developing a spreadsheet. I've not had any problems with Excel giving me false data.

Excel is also the fastest program I've run across at summarizing data (unless I include custom solutions I or others have programmed). I routinely process a data table with a dozen columns and between 20,000 and 60,000 rows. This occurs very quickly.

Frankly, this is an amazing piece of software and has saved me countless hours of repetitive work, once I've invested the time to setup the spreadsheet.
