I've had my share of complaints as well, but the sad fact is, there's no suitable replacement for OS X if you need more advanced functions. Even if you're already using universal archive formats, which StuffIt handles pretty nicely.
I've had a tough time just finding another, better app with the ability to open zip files, browse them, and edit them. And StuffIt's contextual menu is just invaluable if you're creating archives often.
I won't offer a rating since I haven't upgraded to 10 yet. I'll be upgrading as soon as they release a Universal version that will work fully on my Intel Mac... I hate being without the contextual menu plugin!
