One might think so, but I disagree:

if you have a long postscript file, Preview forces you to convert the whole thing to PDF, then you view the PDF. With this app, it opens quickly, and (assuming the PS has structured comments), lets you immediately view the first page with no conversion.

Plus, as I say a comment or two below yours, if you're a postscript hacker, this program is invaluable.
