Tried it and immediately switched back to 5.7.5. The display of the picture in browser view is significantly slower than in the previous version. Sad because I liked the shadows bedind the thumbs (which are not the cause for the slowdown). Hope this will be fixed in the next revision.

Have to correct myself a little bit. The UNIVERSAL BINARY version is MUCH slower on PPC. The non-universal version ist fast as ever.

As a result, only use the Universal version if you indeed have an intel Mac. Otherwise, stick with the non universal version.

Thanks for the info. The download link in Version Tracker automatically downloads the UB file. I had to go to the site to grab the PPC version. If you didn't mention it, I would have kept the version unknowingly.
