What is holding up the BOINC version of folding@home? Let's turn on the pressure by not running the stand alone version.

BOINC version - Pres!

I don't know about trying to pressure them by avoiding the stand-alone, but that said, the effect for me is the same: I'm already running BOINC in the background all the time that I'm not doing something processor-intensive. If they released a version that worked with it, I'd happily give F@H its share of my processor time alongside the other BOINC modules.

BOINC version - m_gordon

I am fairly certain that the folding@home project abandoned the boinc platform a year or two ago. I read something a while back -- it may have been a wikipedia article so feel free to treat this with skepticism -- that the project was using more advanced software than boinc included. The folding@home software leverages features available in newer intel, amd and IBM cell processors.
