One persistent problem with this product is that if you set the update to anything other than "manual", it will start Entourage every time it updates its information. You are stuck with updating it manually when you need to. This problem does not exist in the iCal version.

Trouble with updating info - tliszt

I'm so glad to have read this post. I've NEVER been able to figure out why Entourage would automatically launch periodically without my launching the application! It's been VERY frustrating for ever.

Now that I've changed MenuCalendarClock for Entourage to MANUALLY update, the problem has gone away. But of course, needing to remember to manually update MenuCalendarClock really defeats the purpose of the program being conveniently/readily available in the menu bar.

So this program definitely needs to get this issue resolved!
