Instead of wasting your obvious talents by highlighting deaths for a weak political 'statement,' why don't you consider something meaningful like making a tribute to the heros and their families who have given their lives for total strangers in foreign countries. Everyone seems to forget that these heros are our brothers, sisters, fathers, and mothers with ancestry and religious beliefs from every country--not robots. Bashing the president of the US, the troops, and the people trying to help the good people of Iraq isn't helping anything. Occasional positive recognition is a nice gesture...
Hey, why don't you make a widget to countdown the days before the good people of Iran assassinate their own Hitler-in-training, "the monkey" Mahmoud Ahmadinejad?

WHY WOULD ANYONE HIGHLIGHT DEATH? - photozen
Most excellent widget. Awareness and honesty are both important. It is not highlighting death, rather it is a widget that represents the reality of war. Why would you hide from this? It has nothing to do with honoring or not honoring the servicemen of the US. By being aware of the costs of war...the lives lost, both militarily and civilian on all sides, hopefully wars can be avoided in the future. Having this widget does not dishonor anyone. It just illustrates the reality of war. Do not hide from it.Tuesday, January 24 2006 @ 08:23 AM PST
