It's been a long time since Bare Bones released a 1.0 version of a program, so I guess I can be a little surprised that even they don't get it right the first time. This app shows lots of promise: quick entry drop down, a drag and drop area, Spotlight searchable to level of individual notes. But it also has 1.0 problems: random crashes, lack of customization, weak importing capabilties, an overall lack of features. It's a good start, but this is a crowded area to be moving into. Mori already does Spotlight searches to the note level. Sticky Brain has a quick entry tab (I believe), and DevonThink just does a whole lot more with a whole lot more formats (although at the expense of simplicity and Spotlight searching). It's funny that just today I was looking for something like Yojimbo, a note app that was Spotlight searchable. In a few months, this may be the one. But it may be Mori. And if DevonThink could work in Spotlight, it would definitely be that.
