Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

I have this setup with an iBook with Mac OS 10.3.9, Epson Stylus Photo RX425, Gutenprint-5.0.0rc2 and a Belkin Wireless G USB Print Server. With my other Dell Inspiron running Windows XP the printer works fine. On the iBook despite all my efforts including various Gutenprint forums. I am still unable to successfully print from the iBook. The message I get is 'Remote host did not accept data file (32). All help is welcome as despite looking at the cupsd error file. I can't fathom what is the problem. It just seems that certain characters are not being accepted by the printer.

Thanking any in advance for the help.

Mac OS 10.3.9+Epson Stylus Photo RX425+Gutenprint-5.0.0rc2 + Belkin Wireless G USB Print Server - Rogue

I have had this problem. It wasn't to do with any drivers.
I was trying to setup a HP on a netgear printserver. I was getting the same error.
It turned out to be the printers address.
Printer was at IP 192.168.0.169, which the Mac could see it but it wouldn't print.
when I changed the Print Queue to P1 (print server had two ports) so it Queue name looked like "P1_on_192.168.0.169" or looking in the cups (127.0.0.1:631) the printer was at "lpd://192.168.0.169/P1" as soon as I did this the errors went away.
I can't remember how I found the queue name, but there must be a way.
See if that works?

hi,

i am having a similar problem with a brother hl-2030 printer and a linksys psus4 swith/print server.

the mac is os 10.4. it can see the printer, but when i try to print i get "remote host did not accept data file (32)"

i suspect the printer queue but i can not find how to change it. any help would be very much appreciated !
