Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

First let me say that 99% of software is not needed. Rarely do I find that I can't live a day, enjoy my children or go on vacation due to the lack of the proper software.

However, I love software that's clever, fun to use and makes me enjoy computing.

I read people saying "you don't need AppZapper, use Spotlight, find the files yourself it CAN be done."

While it's true that I could do that, it's also true that I could buy a Windows machine for 50% of what I paid for my mac. It's true that I could be out exercising, painting, or washing my car instead of spending time downloading fun software. I'm just not.

AppZapper allows you to drag an unwanted app onto it and find a few files that were created when I launched that app. Usually, they're not major space hogs or even detrimental if left on the system. That's not the point.

I downloaded AppZapper, used it a few times, and simplyl love it. I've spent more going to a bad movie than the $12.95 I paid for AppZapper.

If you don't want cool software, go use Windows. But don't try to call ME an idiot for automating, through software, something I DON'T want to do manually.

And giving it a 1-Star is just bogus.

There are 5 categories: Ease if Use, Support, Features, Quality/Stability, and Price. If you gave them 1 star for each, you're just not being real.

Ease of Use: It's totally easy. I selected AppZapper, and hit Cmd-T (now it's in my little panel on the left and I can drag unwanted apps right onto it. 5-Stars

Support/Documentation: It requires Tiger and is intuitive. I didn't quite understand the safety feature 100% at first, but in one try I figured it out. 4.5-Stars

Features: I don't want FEATURES. I just want it to work and make me feel good. Do I want it to track installs, log application usage or find hidden files so I can rip off shareware developers? No! I just want it to do what it does. 5-Stars

Quality/Stability: If you gave it 1-star here, you're just being malicious. It's a beautiful/elegant cocoa application without junk. And, I've found it to be 100% stable on my G5 running 10.4.3 5-Stars

Price: C'mon, do I expect everybody to work for me for free? Freeware is usually used to get people to a site so they can see what else is offered. Or, it's put out by somebody who is bored with the application and doesn't want to support it. $12.95 is not extravagant for making me feel confident when I download 5-15 applications per month. 5-Stars.

I've spent more than $12.95 in time defending an application that I just use. Why am I such a crusader?

Anyway, we should all make our own opinions anyway.

My opinion is that AppZapper was and is worth my $12.95 (besides, they're offering lifetime upgrades. Is that my life or the life of AppZapper ;-)
