You don't have to go back to Quicktime 7.0.1 to fix DiskWarrior. On MacFixIt they had answer on Jan, 16th, 2006. All you have to do is 1)Quit DiskWarrior 3.0.3, 2)Control click on DiskWarrior 3.0.3 and from the contextual menu select "Show Package Contents", 3)Locate the "Complete.aiff" sound file - the path is: - DiskWarrior 3.0.3.app -> Contents -> Resources -> Complete.aiff, 4)ename the "Complete.aiff" sound file "Alert Complete.aiff" - then close ALL windows" .
This fixed DiskWarrior so now I can use DiskWarrior and iLife '06 (which need QT10.4.4).
DiskWarrior
Maintain, repair, and recover system disk/drive data.
Version: 4.2
10.4.4+Quicktime 7.0.4 DW fix - tliszt
Unfortunately, I tried this tweak (following all steps), but launching DiskWarrior and after entering administrator password, results in the error:"DiskWarrior encountered an unexpected error. (2000, 2306)."
