With Flip4Mac, Mac users do not need to download windows media player to play windows streaming media. Unfortunatley, FrenchTVNews seems unable to utilize this. How long will FrenchTVNews continue to be even viable with M$ officially discontinuing development of windows media player for mac?

Flip4mac works with TF1, France 2, France 3... the list goes one, much longer than that short list. Perhaps it's time to update... or just bypass this applescript code alltogether and navigate to the streams manually...Sunday, August 20 2006 @ 10:27 AM PDT

Flip4Mac is good for playing local WMV files, but (only for now, let's hope) it's far from usable for playing most audio/video streams. When it's ready, I will add support for it in FrenchTVNews.Here are the only FrenchTVNews streams that can be played by Flip4Mac: M6, La Chaîne Parlementaire (with a small modification), TV5 (with a small modification).
RadioCanada streams don't even work in WMP anymore.
