Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

Recommend Product: YES

iMac 2.0 GHz G5 model... Downloaded the new Universal Binary and it slowed the conversion down a lot... Also, the ffmpeg and x264 processes seemed to take more computing power, and my fans went crazy.

So a comment for G5 owners, you might want to consider sticking with the 1.0 version for now. At least until upgrades are available that would improve encoding on "old" Macs or something.

Thanks for a GREAT software though. Quality is great, speed is blazing, and it does the job well!

1.1 Universal seems slower on G5 - Apple Doood

Thanks for the comment... I love the 1.0 version and didn't know whether to use the 1.1 yet on my 1.9 GHz iMac. This app rocks, and I'll look forward to a future version.

1.1 was actually encoding video twice when you chose the H.264 Encoding option...
All fixed in 1.1.1.
