I reported this in 2.0 - still present in 2.0.1, so want people to be aware ...
I installed Quicktime 7.0.4 about the same time I installed WMV Player 2.0, so I'm not sure if it's the same problem. But, if WMV Player 2.0 is installed on my system, then all of the MS Office v.X apps (Word, Excel, ...) crash on launch.
I uninstalled WMV using the supplied uninstalled, and Office works OK now. Have submitted a bug report to flip4mac, and hopefully the Quicktime fix will fix my problem as well.
If you're having this problem, please note it here, and also report it to Flip4Mac support.
Running 10.3.9, and all latest Apple system software.
Flip4Mac WMV
Import, export and play WMAs & WMVs in QuickTime.

Office v.X crashes on launch if I have WMV Player installed - Ringo Speed
It's quite ironic that this bug appeared just as MS started sponsoring the software.Thursday, January 12 2006 @ 06:28 PM PST

I can confirm that v2.0 and now v2.0.1 cause MS Word to crash on launch. Removing Flip4Mac and replacing it with v1.0.2 solves the problem.Reply to This
