Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

Disk Warrior (DW) has long been one of the most reliable and useful utilities on my systems. Unfortunately, OS 10.4.4 seems to have caused DW a case of dyspepsia.

Any attempt to run DW *from* a volume running on 10.4.4 (and I have three of them) causes DW either to hang or crash.

DW can still be run successfully *from* a volume running 10.4.3--even *on* a volume running 10.4.4

Other than that, 10.4.4 seems fine.

Kills Disk Warrior - PQXYZ33

It turns out that the problem that I was experiencing with what I thought was an incompatibility between OS 10.4.4 & DW was instead an incompatibility between QuickTime 7.0.4 (which I had also installed along with OS 10.4.4) and DW. Apple is obviously aware of problems with QuickTime 7.0.4 and has made available a QT 7.0.4 uninstaller/QT 7.0.1 reinstaller on their website. THAT solves the problem that I was having.
