Apparently, Extensis took all the bad parts of Font Reserve and mashed them into Suitcase. This "fusion" causes CONfusion when it comes to managing fonts.

Put this app in a dark quiet place and walk away from it.

Try FontAgent Pro or the FREE Linotype FontExplorer X. Either one of these solutions should work just fine for you.
