With experience for now more than three years of webEdition I must say: it is a great Content Management System. We use it on Macs - it is well done for Mac-Support. The company also is very active in developping enhancements. In three years time, the system advanced by great leaps, without any problem to the user. The regular updates are fine, the modules add to it and work well.
Compared with Typo3, (Opensource), you save a lot in developping it, if you are not a professional programmer. I personally prefer webedition, as it puts us as a user in the position to fully control what we got, we do not depend on outside sources. I think with Typo3 we would not be able to come to the same result.
