FW Hard Drives Unsupported

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

I upgraded from v 4.0.5 to 4.1.1 and all of a sudden my external firewire hard drives became "Unsupported Hardware". I reverted back to v 4.0.6 using an updater that I had never installed, lo and behold all of a sudden my ext FW drives became supported again. I basically like TechTool Pro and it has never harmed any of my data or hardware, I just wish Micromat would get on the ball. This seems like a very basic issue that should never have gotten out the door. A suggestion to Micromat would be to enable Finder repair by default when running a suite of tests rather than forcing the user to run it a second time with repair enabled.

FW Hard Drives Unsupported - med007

Now I know why all my disks are "unsupported!!

What a stupid state of affairs! It used to be that TTPro was a lifesaver for hard drives. now it is sadly not up to par with Disk Warrior. I still am hoping they will fix themselves!!

At least I know now that I have to back-grade, LOL to the previous Techtool Pro 4 version.

Damn!!

FW Hard Drives Unsupported - ttrtilley

There is likely a reason they disabled certain features for some drives.
Without knowing, it's risky to downgrade
Anyone know??????
